You can also make a donation of publically-traded securities. This can be done by electronic transfer.

Match you donation – Double your gift

Your employeer probably has a donation matching policy. They can match the money that you donate, therefore doubling your gift. The Foundation has a list of more than 3 000 companies throughout Canada that offer such a program. Communicate directly with your Human Resources representative or call us to find out how to double you donation at (514) 761-6131, ext 2781.

Donating your brain to the brain bank

Brain donation is essential for researchers to enhance their knowledge of mental illnesses and neurological disorders. Brain donation is not included in the organ donation section of the Quebec health insurance card. Specific consent forms must be signed.

If you reside in the United States, you can make your donation to the American Friends of the Douglas Institute, an independent charity in the United States created to advance the mission of the Douglas Institute.

Tax receipts are issued according to the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
