The Douglas Institute Foundation is led and supported by a Board of Directors. Its 24 members are elected at the Foundation's public assembly, held annually around June. The Board meets four times a year and has a number of active commitees also.

The Investment Committee is chaired by Normand Coulombe and made up of experienced and respected investment managers and advisors. It oversees the Foundation's investment portfolio and endowments ($10 282 933 as of March 31, 2010), which are managed professionally by Standard Life Investments.
